The course is a measured 2.42 mile loop through the wooded northwest corner of Route 66 State Park. The course is a wide path consisting mostly of thin pavement with some fine gravel. Although the loop is flat and fast, the temperature in July must be considered an overriding factor by each runner.
Start/finish area is at the Forest Shelter which has adequate parking around it. The Forest Shelter is the main aid station with a fluids only aid station approximately halfway around the loop.
Race starts at 6 pm and ends at midnight. Darkness comes around 8:30 pm so runners will need some kind of running light for the second half of the race.
