Mark Twain
Trail Summit
The Mark Twain Trail Summit is a celebration of local running clubs including Arch City Run Club, Daily Run Club, St. Louis Trail Running Club, St. Louis Track Club, Jefferson County Run Club, Columbia SMUT, Lake of the Ozarks Runners and the Saint Louis Ultrarunners Group.
The Mark Twain Trail Summit is held at Berryman Campground (Home of the Berryman Trail Races) Southwest of St. Louis.
The Summit begins at 7:30am with a group run (all paces/distances welcome) and ends with food, fellowship, and your standard tomfoolery.
To help with permitting and planning, we charge a nominal fee.
Can’t run? We would love to have you as a volunteer!

RACE DIRECTOR
ERIC BUCKLEY
Eric began running immediately after watching Frank Shorter win the 1972 Olympic Marathon. In the intervening 50 years, he has run hundreds of races including more than twenty 100-milers. While he enjoys competition, he also promotes non-competitive running through events such as the Trail Summit. He has been affiliated with the SLUGs since their inception and enjoys running with a number of other local clubs. He can be found at the finish of many SLUG events either cooking post-race food or singing the songs he writes about running (sometimes both).
